GEP Client Installation notes for Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, XP

System Requirements:

Macintosh OS X 10.2 or later

128 MB memory

Java version 1.4+ installed (typically through Software Update)

Installation Instructions:

Click the download link above and double-click the resulting 'rremote.zip' once it is finished.

Follow the instructions provided in the installer.

There are 6 installation screens

• Introduction – Read & follow directions
• Choose Install Folder – usually follow folder suggested
• Choose Shortcuts – Select shortcut icon placement
• Pre-Installation Summary – Review for correctness
• Installing – Program is installed
• Install Complete - Finished

For normal installations, you can usually just accept whatever default answer the application suggests. This means that you can just click on the “Next” button until you reach the “Install Complete” button. Click “Install Complete” and you’re done! But take time to read through the possible answers just in case they offer something that would be helpful to the user.

If the customer wants to install the application in a special location on their computer, they will understand these simple questions and be able to provide the answers for you.
